The highly anticipated Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway officially began operation today. After the opening of the Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway, the running time of the fastest train from Hefei to Fuzhou has been shortened from the original 8 hours to 4.5 hours, and the running time of the fastest train from Beijing to Fuzhou has been reduced from more than 10 hours to less than 8 hours.
The Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway is a high-speed railway with a designed speed of 300 kilometers per hour. Construction began in 2010 and joint commissioning and testing started in March 2015. The railway line spans Anhui, Jiangxi and Fujian provinces, starting from Hefei and ending in Fuzhou. Along the way, it traverses mountains and rivers, stretching for over 800 kilometers in all directions. It is known as the Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway.
