Chinese enterprises bid for Ma Xin high-speed rail with advantages

According to a report by Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po on November 18th, Liu Zhenmin, Vice Foreign Minister of China, said in Beijing yesterday that Chinese enterprises attach great importance to the Malaysia-Singapore High-Speed railway project and hope to participate in its construction. The Malaysia-Singapore Railway is a high-speed railway connecting Malaysia and Singapore, and it will also be part of the Middle line of the Pan-Asia Railway in the future. China has been committed to promoting connectivity in the region. Chinese enterprises also have a high level of high-speed rail technology, ranking among the top in the world. When riding, there is almost no noise to be felt. Some high-speed railways built in other countries over a decade ago also have a big gap compared with those currently built in China. It is hoped that China's high-speed rail can go global and provide high-level and high-quality transportation services for more countries.
It is learned that the under-construction Malaysia-Singapore High-Speed Railway will connect Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Singapore, with a total length of approximately 350 kilometers and an investment of about 12 to 15 billion US dollars for the project. This is the first high-speed rail project in Southeast Asia and an important part of the Pan-Asia Railway. Its significance for China's high-speed rail "going global" and the "Belt and Road Initiative" is self-evident. After the heads of state of Malaysia and Singapore reached an agreement on the construction of the Malaysia-Singapore High-Speed Railway in January 2013, the Chinese authorities have expressed their willingness to actively participate on multiple occasions.
Data shows that several international high-speed rail "giants" are interested in the new high-speed rail project in Malaysia. Currently, China, Japan, France, Spain and Germany have all expressed their bidding intentions to Malaysia. It is reported that in this high-speed rail technology competition, the four companies of Japan's JR Railway, namely Tokai, East Japan, West Japan and Kyushu Island, have formed a consortium to make a strong move, while the Chinese side has also formed a consortium of six enterprises to participate in the competition.
