In July 2013, China Railway Construction Corporation Electrification Bureau Group, a four-electricity integrator, conducted an open tender for the interface monitoring system and GRIS system of the Xinjiang section of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Second Line. Beijing Liujie Technology Co., Ltd. was ultimately awarded the bid. The second double-track of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway, also known as the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Passenger Dedicated Line, is a newly built double-track electrified railway from Lanzhou to Urumqi, with a designed speed of over 200 kilometers per hour. It is a key project of the inter-regional transportation network in the "12th Five-Year Plan for the Comprehensive Transportation System" of the country. It is expected that the second double-track section of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway in Xinjiang will be fully operational by the end of the year. This will play a significant role in improving the railway network in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and will also strongly promote the economic development of Xinjiang.
The interface monitoring and GRIS system are planned to be put into use before the joint commissioning and testing of the Xinjiang section of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Second Line.
